Today, I paddled amongst ice floes in Antarctica, marvelling at the swimming penguins and breaching whales.
This moment reminded me of kayaking up and down the river back home, a favorite summer tradition of mine. Both places, teeming with life built for the land, provide a sense of humility and groundedness.
I understand that connectedness to earth might look vastly different across terrains, but it’s the similarities we find that make us feel like we’re home, and it’s the differences we explore that make us feel like we’re on an adventure.
