Last night, I stood in ovation at a magical Macon Pops performance.
My attention, first resting with the performers on stage, fell to the crowd surrounding me, standing in applause together. We were all there for the live music, but maybe the real magic was in the audience – the connective joy we were sharing.
Being present with others, whether while erupting in applause for live music at home, or silently watching lava erupt from the ground in Hawaii, reminds me that the most powerful moments aren’t just witnessed — they’re shared.
