Last night, I stood on a rocky ledge overlooking distant lava flows.
As I began the path back to the car, I looked back and saw the silhouettes of all the people I’d just been standing with, still entranced. I felt fortunate to have shared that breathtaking moment with others.
Through all my experiences, the most important lesson I’ve learned is that joy is best shared with others, no matter the backdrop—whether sandwiched by stars above and lava below in Hawaii, or by friends to the left and family to the right at a concert in Macon.
