Strolling through downtown Macon during Cherry Blossom Festival, blush pink petals dotted the sky and littered the ground.
The abundance of life and growth made me think of my time in the desert, where petals on the ground are replaced by small rocks strewn across the arid landscape.
Here, life bursts open without asking. There, it hangs on with stubbornness. Both are beautiful; both are growth.
Regardless of conditions, the same story prevails: life is cyclical. Times of blossom and death bookend a journey of adaptation, successes, and failures… of life.
